VITA Latino Coordinator

Description

The VITA Latino Coordinator is a part-time contract position that supports the Buenas Finanzas team with the execution of VITA Latino 2024. The VITA Latino Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the VITA Latino execution and supports the BF Director regarding communication with partners, providers, and volunteers. The VITA Latino 2024 coordinator position is from November 2023 to April 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.

  • Manage communication from the Buenas Finanzas team with partners regarding requirements and other logistic coordination required for the execution of the VITA Latino sites.

  • Manage communication from BF team and volunteers, keeping paperwork updated as required by CWC and IRS. Also, update partners about volunteer needs on every site, including a certain level of service quality (making sure there are a minimum number of tax preparers based on the number of existing appointments)

  • Complete the necessary certifications from the IRS to be a certified tax preparer/quality reviewer.

  • Support the BF team on the VITA Latino 2024 sites with the different and changing tasks that are required. Some of the activities include welcoming clients, helping organize the space, and taking pictures.

  • Manage and update the BF social media accounts, when needed.

  • Help with Marketing and Outreach, when needed.

  • Create qualitative and quantitative reports, including statistics and good practices for future seasons.

Experience

  • Work experience as a Project Coordinator is a plus.

  • Intermediate to advanced Spanish skills.

  • Organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.

  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
