What is Buenas Finanzas Carolinas?
Buenas Finanzas Carolinas, a service of Common Wealth Charlotte, is a nonprofit organization. This means that we receive donations and financial support from organizations or foundations, allowing us to offer our services free of charge to the community.
Most may know us as VITA Latino and our free tax preparation service through our partnership with the IRS, but Buenas Finanzas is more than that!
Our focus and mission is financial education and training. We want to help the community have a better economic opportunity now and in the future, we want to be your ally to a bright and hopeful financial future.
How do we achieve it? Through the services we provide:
Financial Education: We do workshops with the community in person and virtually.
Financial Counseling: A personal financial counselor helps you set and follow your financial goals.
Generation 2080: You save for your retirement and we match up to a specific amount. Clients between 18 and 35 years old receive priority.
My Affordable Home: We help you save and match up to a certain amount in your account for repairs in your own home.
Financial Services: For clients, we provide loans with 0% interest of up to a thousand dollars for emergencies and to establish/improve your credit record.
